famOPS provides a communication pathway for families during the perioperative period. As the patient moves through the three phases of the perioperative process; preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative, families will have access to the patients journey directly on their mobile device (via SMS messaging) and also on the overview board in the OR waiting room.
Updates Staff and Family on the Patient’s Journey
Updates associated with the patient journey are sent via text message and updated on the overview board to provide updates on the progress. famOPS provides answers to the questions most often asked by families waiting on their loved ones, calming anxiety and reducing the number of requests made of staff for updates.
